A friend of mine showed me this discussion today, which I turned into an AppleScript. To find the relevant part of the discussion, search the page for “wrong approach for audiophiles.”
This will create the “Perfect Negative” equalizer setting in iTunes under Mac OS X.
After running the script, this is what your EQ should look like:
Use it, love it. Sounds great.
